Animal Assisted Happiness, a local nonprofit that provides animal interaction to children experiencing health or family troubles, facilitated an event to connect Mountain View High School’s ASB with the students of the Special Education program on Friday, Jan. 16. Room 519 welcomed Goats, chickens, rabbits, and other animals during second period. Jared Darby, ASB adviser, collaborated with Animal Assisted Happiness as well as the Special Education Teachers to plan this event in order to forge new friendships between the students.
“I think this is really amazing to bring smiles to peoples’ faces and make new friends through connections with animals,” Katie Lan, ASB Environmental Commissioner, said.
