Senior captain Liberty Evans joined the ranks of MVHS wrestlers who have made it to the CIF State Tournament in Bakersville on Feb. 26, which marked the first time MVHS sent two wrestlers to the tournament. Her teammate, junior captain Kiana Lien placed 3rd at the tournament, which made her the first ever CIF state placer, and three-time CIF state qualifier. This ended a historic season for the girls wrestling team, they placed 1st in SCVAL, 2nd in CCS Northern, and had 4 wrestlers place at CCS Masters; Evans 2nd (155), Lien 3rd (100), sophomore Emeline Zuber 5th (235), and junior Raven Rasmussen-Dailey 6th (135).
