A newly installed bus stop will provide shade and seating for students taking the bus from Bus Stop 51 at the intersection between Truman and Bryant. It features seats for three students, and has an overhang to provide some shade.
“It’s a nice looking bus stop,” freshman Brian Hwang said. “I actually just came here and I saw it built all of a sudden, and I thought it was pretty unique looking, and it gives more life to the bus stop.”
However, it does have some room for growth.
“I don’t think there is enough space because there’s a lot of students,” freshman Leonardo Ramos said.
Ramos added that the bus stop could provide more shade to accommodate more students.
“I don’t know if the bus stop will solve this problem, but before it was really chaotic and there [were] a whole lot of people all trying to get on the bus stop at once… so I hope the bus stop will maybe calm that down a little bit,” Hwang said.
Ramos said that he thought the area was more organized with the addition of the bus stop and trash can beside it.
