On Friday, January 18th, MVHS’s Free the Children sold pearl tea at lunch as part of a fundraiser. The club is part of an international organization that works in rural countries building schools and wells, as well as teaching communities healthy living skills.
“We’re saving up to do some big donation at the end of the year that we haven’t decided about yet. Most of them deal with children with a strong focus on education, but we also are looking into healthcare. We sold out in less than fifteen minutes for this one so that was really good,” co-president of FTC, sophomore Jeanette Freiberg, said.
