De Anza College hosts 2014 Kiwanis Special Games

Every year, Mountain View High School’s Special Education Department attends the Kiwanis Special Games, an event that celebrates the abilities of the athletes and the successes of students with special needs. This year, the event was held at De Anza College on Friday, May 16th, from 9 am to 12 pm. Several Mountain View High School students attended to participate either as athletes or as volunteers. The event had over 150 different schools, groups, and organizations participating and several more supporting the athletes as volunteers.

Veda Sunkara
Veda, a senior this year, loves frozen yogurt, her dog, Jakii, and running. She loves trying new and exotic foods and hiking at Rancho with friends, preferrably at the same time.
