The boys volleyball team swept the Los Altos Eagles 3-0 in an intense rivalry game on Wednesday, March 12.
Head coach Josh Sullivan said he was proud of the team and their performance throughout the game. He said the team did a good job controlling their offense, delivering precise passes, and having smooth transitions from offense to defense. Sullivan was especially proud of their improvement of serving and serve receiving which allowed them to control the game to the fullest extent.
“We really managed the game today…We controlled our passing, we kept balls in the court with our serve and gave ourselves great opportunities,” Sullivan said.
He also praised junior Calvin Pereira as he put up seven kills, which are definitive points, and put up countless more points through his powerful serves. Pereira also contributed to the team through his passes that led to points for the team.
Pereira said he was optimistic about the season, and predicted that their matchup against Gunn would determine the League title.
