Photo Story: Girls basketball falls 39-47 to Leigh in the first round of CCS

The Spartans’ season came to an end in an eight point loss to the Longhorns, ultimately ending their season with a 19-5 record.

The MVHS girls basketball team lost a close game against Leigh 39-47 in the first round of CCS on Friday, Feb. 21.

Leigh started strong and never relinquished control of the game. The Spartans had a strong third quarter and at one point cut the lead down to six, but were unable to overcome the deficit.

MVHS end their season with a 19-5 overall record, a 12-2 league record, a SCVAL El Camino championship, and an appearance in the CCS Division I tournament.
