The MVHS boys soccer team played out a scoreless draw with Milpitas on Dec. 13, despite the Spartans’ many scoring opportunities.
In the first half, senior striker Akshay Chugh’s shots were denied twice by the Trojan goalkeeper.
Coming into the second half, senior midfielder Niko Dekovic had his shot tipped on to the crossbar and out by the opposing goalkeeper. In the last few minutes of the match, the Spartans continued to put pressure on the Milpitas net, yet a final chance from senior forward Caddell Heatley was once again saved by the goalie.
This draw brings the MVHS’s record to 4-0-1. The Spartans’ next game is against Serra at home on New Year’s Eve.
