The boys basketball team secured a convincing 58-41 victory over Evergreen Valley High School on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The game began as a close contest as MVHS turned over the ball several times. Despite this, senior Jayden Minor led the way with nine points and junior Ben Maller added five in the first quarter. Junior Noah Shahraz made a strong impact in the second quarter, contributing seven points and helping the Spartans take a 32-23 lead at halftime.
Minor maintained his scoring momentum in the third quarter, adding another nine points to his tally.
In the fourth quarter, the Spartan defense dominated, holding Evergreen Valley to just four points and solidifying their 58-41 win.
