A juvenile was apprehended by the Mountain View Police Department on Wednesday in connection to the theft of a student’s car, according to the MVPD in an email.
MVPD said the juvenile stole the vehicle during an after-school athletics practice. The MVPD recovered the car in close proximity to the school, and police apprehended the suspect.
PrIncipal Grissom declined to comment on the event or disciplinary actions for the student, citing confidentiality concerns for the minor involved.
“Because the suspect involved is a juvenile, we will not be releasing additional details about the arrest,” said Katie Nelson, Public Information Officer for the MVPD.
