Spring sports scores summarized

Boys’ Volleyball:

-JV: 9-5

-V: 14-0 & Won CCS

“The team so far has completed our first three team goals: win league, go undefeated in league, and win CCS. Our last goal is to win Norcals. We play our best when we just have a good time together.” -Jake Stuebner, Varsity team captain

 

Lacrosse:

Girls- JV: 9-4-2, V: 2-11

“The best experience was our last game where the team all worked together and got all 6 players who never scored before to each score a goal. It showed a lot of teamwork. selflessness and pride. It was a great ending to our season.”-Andrea Keinath, Varsity coach

Boys- JV: 8-2-2, V: 5-5

“We did a lot better than last year. It’s really neat to see how everyone improved over the offseason. It showed during our games.” -Joe Guthart, JV team captain

 

Girls’ Softball:

-JV: 9-3

-Varsity: 15-9 & continuing in CCS

“We fell a little short of our goal in winning the league, but I am proud of the overall effort. The most memorable moment of the season for me was when Jackie Olivares and Emma Bice hit a homerun in the same game.”-David Campbell, Varsity Coach

 

Boys’ Baseball:

-JV: 9-3

-V: 4-10

“We had a rough start to the season but we continued to improve and it payed off for us” -Ryan Hammell, JV player

 

Co-ed Badminton:

-JV: 7-5

-V: 5-7

“This year we had a lot of new players. We appreciate the time and effort of all the players in improving their skills and making the season an enjoyable one. We hope many of them will continue to play next year.” -Susan Imai, Varsity Coach

Boys’ Tennis:

-JV: 8-2

-V: 6-6

“This season was extremely successful. We had great synergy and a solid atmosphere compare to previous years. Props to coach Gianni for being awesome.” -Phillip Chang, JV team captain

 

Swimming:

-V: 4-3

“JV swim was an overall great experience. I met a lot of new people from all corners of mountain view, got in good shape, and had a fun time while doing it.” -Annie Iverson JV swimmer

 

Gymnastics:

-MV Varsity girls came in 2nd in the league

“It was a lot of fun this year to have a bigger team (all 7 of us) because we were able to really compete as a team, instead of just individually. Everybody really stepped up to contribute and put out some great routines when it counted” -Elaine Silverman (Varsity)

 

Diving:

“Diving at Mountain View is a great experience because it brings together so many different people. You also get to tan and catch up on every grades gossip three days a week and it’s not a super hard workout #10/10 #wouldreccomend”-Cameron Conway

 

Track:

Girls- JV: 1-6, V: 2-6

Boys- Frosh/Soph: 0-6, V: 2-6

“Although we didn’t win many meets, a lot of people were successful in getting PRs (personal records) and individually did amazing at their own events!”

“The team this year was extremely lucky to have such stable coaches who motivated us and who understood any problems that arose during the season. They contributed to a less  cliquey team than has existed in the past and thus a more positive experience for not only our talented incoming freshmen class, but for the squad as a whole.” -Amy Lynch Varsity Runner
