Bubble Tea Places in Mountain View

Bubble+Tea+Places+in+Mountain+View

Bubble Tea is a Taiwanese drink and the “bubble” part refers to not the tapioca balls, but the bubble foam at the top of the tea after it’s been shaken to enhance its flavor.  Bubble tea comes in a variety of flavors, from milk tea to oolong tea to kiwi snow. However every bubble tea has the same tea base.  The majority of people get these drinks with tapioca balls called boba. Boba is made from cassava roots, sweet potatoes, and brown sugar.  Different types of jelly can also be found in these drinks.

Tea Annie

Tea Annie is conveniently located five minutes from Mountain View High School on 1712 Miramonte Ave.  The service and employees are excellent, and you do not have to wait long to receive your drink and/or crepe.  One of their drinks, the Plant Milk Tea, is a spectacular drink that is aesthetically pleasing.  It shows a creative representation of a plant growing in the ground.  The mint leaf represents the plant, the oreo crumbs represents the dirt, and the gummy worm represents a worm.  I recommend trying the boba and lychee jelly with a drink.  Not only does Tea Annie have drinks, but they have delicious crepes as well.

Ocha

Ocha is approximately a ten minute drive from MVHS on 1350 Grant Rd.  The service and employees are great.  I would recommend trying the Pina Colada snow with boba.   I also would recommend the crispy chicken or fried rice as delicious snacks to go along with your drink.

Tapioca Express

Tapioca Express is located in downtown Mountain View on 740 Villa Street, across from Red Rock Cafe and Fiesta del Mar Too.  The service and employees are great.  In the picture below, is a mango snow with boba.  This drink is really good, but I also recommend the watermelon snow with boba.  The watermelon snow is one of the few drinks that Tapioca Express makes with fresh, cut-up fruit.  This is one of my favorite boba places to get a watermelon drink from.

Verde is located in downtown Mountain View on 852 Villa Street, across from a Vietnamese Noodle Soup Restaurant.  The service and employees are great.  I would recommend trying a mango snow with boba.  This drink is excellent and a must-have either on hot afternoon or when you just crave something sweet.

Tea Era is located in downtown Mountain View on 271 Castro Street.  The service and employees are great.  I would recommend trying a mango snow with boba.  This drink is excellent and a must have on a hot afternoon.  Another outstanding drink to try is the apple snow with boba.
